It has been a relatively mild Winter with good rains so many gardens have continued to flourish. With Spring here we will see this increasing as new growth appearing, it is a good time to look at doing any pruning to make the most of the new growth. This goes for many ornamentals but also natives such as Grevilleas, Callistemon and Syzygium. Cut back Cordylines also to encourage lower branching and plant the prunings.
Now is a good time to think about re-mulching gardens in preparation for the Summer heat.
It is also a good time to think out about actioning some of those landscape plans and projects that have been in the concept stage in preparation for the coming Summer months and correspondingly large proportion of our time many spend outdoors.
